We mailed Kinder Chocolate to inquire about which items are halal
We directly contacted Kinder to inquire about their stance on the halal status of their product, as their products currently do not possess halal certification.
Here is what I asked them:
Hey Team,
Just want to know if the Kinder products, such as Kinder Surprise, Kinder Chocolate, Kinder Country, Kinder Bueno, Kinder Happy Hippo, Kinder Milk Slice, Kinder Pinguì, Kinder Maxi King, Kinder Choco-Bons, Kinder Cards, Kinder Chocofresh, Kinder Delice, and other products ( if any ) are halal or not? If yes, is it certified?
Regards,
Achintam,

Kinder Responded back with a to-the-point answer:
Good Morning,
Thank you for your email,
I can confirm all our kinder range is suitable for a halal diet.
Kind regards.Chole Boswell
However, I was not convinced with the answer so I followed up with another email with two more questions:
Just 2 follow up queries:
1. Did you do the Halal certification? If yes, from where?
2. Is it halal across the world?
Kinder responded back this time with a confusing answer:
Dear Achintam,
Thank you for your email.
We do not obtain certification confirming that our products are Halal however you can go to https://www.verifyhalal.com/ who are able to verify that this is suitable, we also cannot confirm that other countries have the same food standards as they have different food requirements in their respective countries.
I have also included some independent trusts that also verify certifications. (Please note we are not directly linked or have any relationship to the third-party websites mentioned in this email)

I wasn’t pretty much confident about Kinder’s response. However, at one glance majority of the Kinder products look completely safe as is the case with Dove Chocolate halal status.
To reach a conclusion, I decided to go through the most common ingredients that can be found in Kinder Chocolates.
